Why Active?

Active is a cloud platform workpapers and financial reporting solution designed to automate routine tasks and streamline job preparation and the review process. It features a full web interface with deep integration with Microsoft Excel, allowing for seamless data flow and audit trails that capture all changes made by your team.

Please note, you will be required to review and update your existing workpaper process. For example, instead of downloading an Excel workbook and saving it into your document management system, you'll work directly within the Active platform.

Smart Workpapers will retire on 31 December 2025.

Completing a 14 day trial of Active Workpapers is strongly encouraged.

Most Smart Workpaper worksheets will rollover to Active Workpapers (some updated worksheets won't rollover).

Minimum IT & systems requirements (including Microsoft Standard or Premium edition and matching emails addresses for your Microsoft & Active logins - click here for more information)
