Friction Map builds on Activity Map data to pinpoint where inefficiency lives within your engagements. It highlights specific tasks, workpapers, and binder sections where disproportionate time and effort are being spent; for example, identifying that fringe benefit calculations consistently take significantly longer than expected across multiple preparers. This gives firm leaders a clear, objective basis for targeted training, process redesign, or template improvements, turning operational friction into measurable improvement opportunities.
For enterprise firms with established data teams, the Data Lake provides secure, governed access to your firm’s raw Active Platform data; including activity data, client and engagement metadata, user profiles, financial summaries, and workflow state data. Delivered to a dedicated Azure storage container, it connects directly to Power BI or your preferred analytics tools. Data is refreshed nightly, giving your team a reliable, structured foundation for custom dashboards, KPI tracking, and firm-wide performance reporting across offices and practice areas.
